Tanabata - July 7th

Last week Friday was a special occasion here in Japan. The date last week Friday was July 7th or 07/07. In Japan and in many other Oriental cultures this date is known as the Star Festival or Tanabata. This tradition originated in China.

For this special occasion my eldest daughter created this pretty illustration as shown in the photo. To make this illustration she used an app on her Apple iPhone SE along with a stylus pen, so she did draw the picture by hand.
